Bicyclist Hospitalized Following Crash On Rt. 501 In Central Pennsylvania: Police

A woman has been hospitalized after she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle in Central Pennsylvania, police say.

Lititz Borough of police were called to the crash at the intersection of North Broad Street (SR0501) & East Lincoln Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 15, around 5:11 p.m., according to a release by the department the following Monday.

The vehicle was attempting to make a left turn onto North Broad Street from East Lincoln Avenue when it struck the bicyclist who was traveling east-bound onto East Lincoln Avenue, police detailed in the release.

The woman "sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance for hospital-based care," police say.

It is unclear if the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene or if any charges were filed.
